8 Rovaniemi- Finland

The greatest occasion of Christmas arrival with Santa Claus, and New Year, wonders,  not at the north pole but at   the small town of Rovaniemi in Finnish Lapland. The Santa Claus Village, located just outside of Rovaniemi, is the official residence of Saint Nick. When you visit the settlement, which is almost on the Arctic Circle, you may see Santa, get an unique stamp in your passport, and hang out with some real reindeer. It's difficult any one not to be involved in this event.

9. Abisko -Sweden.

 

Winter offers many varied activities, but one of the most captivating is watching the aurora borealis( northern lights dance across the sky).
